🔑 Arriving & the door

• Enter your personal code on the Schlage keypad.
• To lock from inside, turn the thumb turn. From outside, press the lock icon on the keypad.
• A doorbell camera and a garage camera cover the exterior only.

🅿️ Stratton VIP parking

• This house comes with a Stratton Base Lodge VIP parking pass for the 2026/27 season — park at the base and walk to the lifts.
• Where the pass is and how to use it are in your check-in message.

🌡️ Heat & A/C

• Each room has its own mini-split; use the remote in that room.
• The wall thermostats are locked and only run backup heat in extreme cold — please leave them alone.
• Keep windows closed while heat or A/C is running.

♨️ Hot tub

• Serviced before every stay.
• Keep it between 100°F and 104°F.
• Replace and latch the cover after every use — it keeps the water clean and warm.
• No glass in or around the tub; use the plastic drinkware provided.
• Shower before getting in, and keep pets out.
• Use the + and − buttons to set the temperature; the other buttons turn the jets and lights on and off. Please don’t change any other settings.
• How to open the cover:
  
• If the cover isn’t latched, the tub can freeze and stop working.
• Safety: don’t use the hot tub after drinking or using drugs.
• Young children should not use the hot tub.
• If you’re pregnant or have health concerns, check with a doctor before using it.

🧖 Sauna

• Indoor sauna: turn the heater dial to the time you want.
• Allow 30–45 minutes to warm up. Limit sessions to 15 minutes and stay hydrated.

🔥 Fireplace

• Firewood is in the garage.
• Open the flue first: turn the brass knob counter-clockwise, and confirm it’s open before lighting.
• Fires only in the fireplace or the chiminea.
• Never leave a fire unattended.

🎿 Gear & getting around

• Store skis and boards in the mudroom or garage.
• EV charger in the garage.
• Stratton is about 6 minutes by car.

⛷️ Skiing & Stratton

🧳 What we provide & what to bring

• We provide: bath and hand towels, small towels for the hot tub, bed linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, lotion, laundry detergent, a hair dryer, toilet paper and tissues.
• The kitchen has plates, cups, glasses, silverware, pots, pans and basic baking tools. The coffee maker takes K-cups or brews a pot.
• Bring: food, coffee, drinks and condiments; personal toiletries; sandals or a robe for the hot tub and sauna; chargers; and logins for your streaming apps.
• Want bigger towels for the hot tub, or heading to a swimming hole in summer? Bring beach towels.

❄️ Snow & plowing

• After fresh snow, the driveway is plowed and sanded and the entrance is shoveled.
• In a big storm, please be patient — our crews get there as soon as they can.

🛏️ Beds & layout

• Main floor: open living, dining and kitchen, big fireplace, deck with grill, full bath.
• Primary suite: king plus floor mattress, tub/shower.
• Lower level: queen + twin room, queen room, bunk room (two bunks, sleeper sofa, floor mattress), tub/shower bath.
• Pack ‘n Play and baby gate available.

🗑️ Trash

• All trash and recycling goes in the bins in the garage. Don’t leave bags outside — bears are around.
• Trash is picked up between guests.

🐕 Dogs

• Up to 2 dogs, only on bookings that include them; the pet fee is $50 per dog per night.
• Dogs off furniture and beds, please, and never left alone in the house uncrated.
• Pick up after your dog and bag it into the trash in the garage.

📋 House rules

• Maximum 8 guests; no parties or events.
• No smoking or vaping anywhere inside.
• Quiet hours 10 pm – 8 am.
• Please leave skis, boards and other sports gear in the mudroom or garage.
• Please don’t open windows in winter or while the A/C is running.
• Minimum renter age 25.

👋 Check-out

• Bag all trash and take it to the bins in the garage.
• Leave used towels on the bathroom floor; sheets can stay on the beds.
• Load and start the dishwasher.
• Lights off, doors and windows closed, hot tub cover latched.
• Lock the front door: press the lock icon on the keypad.

🚨 Emergencies & contacts

• Emergency: call 911. The address is at the top of this page.
• 42 North (24/7): 802-214-2714 — call or text.
• Nearest ER: Grace Cottage Hospital, Townshend (about 30 min), or Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, Bennington (about 50 min).
• The fire alarm is monitored, and the fire department will come if it goes off. If it’s a false alarm and you’ve confirmed there’s no fire, enter 12341 on the alarm keypad to silence it, then call dispatch at 603-352-1100 so they don’t send the fire department.
